About Us

NDIS Service Provider

People First Community Care was established in January 2018. We intimately understand what it's like to access services with personal and professional experience in the disability field. It is our passion and goal to create a service that is locally owned and operated from a perspective of what is required regionally from an NDIS Provider, as well as participants, with senior management being aware of each and every participant’s situation.

The aim of PFCC is that no matter where the client is located, for them to be able to have direct contact with the people making governmental or procedural decisions with impacts on participants. We also communicate closely with our staff at all levels.

We are dedicated to implementing truly person centred tailored supports around our clients in a way that they expect to receive their supports. We build our client support teams around our clients by matching skills, personalities, values and experience and do not expect our participants to work around staff.

We believe that every participant is individual and diverse and just because our clients may have similar goals does not mean they wish to receive supports in the same ways.

Therefore we believe in an individualised approach when it comes to providing our support services!

* Individualised support plans

* Tailored supports

* Person centred support

* Locally owned and operated

Dignity Of Risk Decision Making

PFCC supports each participant’s right to the dignity of risk in decision-making. When required, PFCC will support each participant to make informed choices about the benefits and risks of the options under considerations. PFCC will ensure that the participant is aware of all risks, benefits, consequences to do this; this may involve a meeting between PFCC, participant and medical professional for example. PFCC considers the dignity of risk as a fundamental principle or practice of our duty of care in the first place. That is  by empowering our customers to take risks in exercising choice and control, we are making them safer by that very act of empowerment. PFCC empowers participants by ensure all our participants have full knowledge of their rights, choices and opportunities. Secondly, we need to encourage the development of their communication skills and their ability to make and maintain relationships within strong and diverse social networks. Thirdly, our clients need to be healthy, physically independent and financially secure to participate as full citizens in community life. And fourthly, we need to encourage participants to have a strong sense of personal identity and self-worth by supporting their choices, lifestyle, preferences and passions. PFCC believes that our primary duty of care to all our clients is that we protect their dignity first by empowering them to make their own choices. Thus the dignity of risk IS our duty of care, and our first and most important duty to all our participants. Independence, community participation and valued status are the pathways to personal empowerment, and personal empowerment is the key to a safer world.
